Cytasted 1000 Injection is used to treat some kinds of cancers of blood. It may be also used to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor. It is sometimes used with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy.

Cytasted 1000mg Injection contains the active substance Cytarabine. It is an antineoplastic drug that belongs to the class antimetabolite. It is used alone or with other chemotherapy medications to treat certain types of leukemias (a type of blood cancer with too many white blood cells), including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). It is also indicated to use alone or with other chemotherapy drugs to treat and prevent meningeal leukemia (cancer in the membrane that covers and protects the spinal cord and brain).

Cytasted 1000 Injection kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
