Cefactiv 2.5gm Injection is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections of the lungs, stomach, and urinary tract. It may be used alone or in combination with other antibiotics, like metronidazole, to treat various bacterial infections in both children and adults.

Cefactiv 2.5gm Injection contains two active ingredients in one injection. One of the active substances is Ceftazidime, which belongs to the group of medications called third-generation cephalosporin antibiotics. The other active substance is Avibactam belonging to the group of medications called beta-lactamase inhibitors. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacteria and is commonly used to treat serious infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and abdominal infections

Cefactiv 2.5gm Injection works by killing bacteria that can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections, such as infections of the lung (pneumonia), stomach, and urinary tract. It is given by a doctor or nurse into a vein and should not be self-administered. Cefactiv 2000mg/500mg Injection usually makes you feel better very quickly, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
